Over years of scouting lonely country roads and back streets, we’ve found a stunning range of Sunlit Studios exclusive photography locations. Having spent many hours scouting some of these amazing location gems out, we keep them close to our chest – they are exclusive to our wonderful couples and families.
ROLLING HILLS PADDOCK
Located 30 minutes south of Brisbane CBD. 15 minutes away from Sunlit Studios!
Based conveniently between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and only minutes off the M1 highway, this is the best paddock option for families and couples. This paddock has very long grass and majestic trees. Being a very green-dominent location, wall art created at this location will suit homes that also feature plants.

GOLDEN COUNTRY FIELDS
Located in the Alberton/Stapylton area
Located amidst the rustic charm of sugar cane fields, this portrait location is perfect for couples and families who love the country, long grass textures and amazing roads.

BRISBANE CITY ROOFTOP & ANZAC SQUARE
Located in Brisbane City
Perfect for couples who want a little urban edge to their shoot. The sun sets through the cityscape, bringing drama to the iconic Brisbane skyline.
You can also follow the car park up with Anzac square photos on the elegant stairway.

COASTAL PARADISE
Located in Southport, Gold Coast (20 minutes north of Surfers Paradise)
This portrait location is a popular choice for a reason – it has incredible views of the Gold Coast, stunning reflections at dusk and a variety of other textures to play with. You can also combine it with some photos outside the Imperial for a luxury backdrop.
Please note, this is an off-leash dog beach, making it unsuitable for any children who are very scared of dogs!
Recommended clothing colours: Pastels and whites look particularly pretty on the beach with the soft pinks of dusk.

EUROPEAN CITY
Located in Emerald Lakes, Gold Coast
For couples who want a sense of luxury and modern elegance, this location has everything you need. With countless charming arches, grand staircases and a jetty, this spot is perfect for a couple or family who want less nature and more charming European vibes.
Recommended clothing colours: Neutral tones for a timeless look.

PINE FOREST
Located in Miami, Gold Coast (15 minutes north of Surfers Paradise)
This pine forest is romantic, moody and has a stunning lake in front of it. Streaming light shoots through the forest, making for very dramatic portraits!
Recommended clothing colours: Blues, oranges and yellows look amazing against the orange pine needles!

SCENIC TAMBORINE VIEWS
Located 60 minutes south of Brisbane CBD.
Tamborine Mountain has an amazing lookout for sunset. Nestled high atop a serene mountain peak, this location offers a truly majestic setting with breathtaking country views of a sprawling valley below. Can also be combined with rainforest photographs nearby.

ROCKY SUNSET BEACH
Located in Snapper Rocks, Gold Coast (10 minutes east of Gold Coast airport)
Snapper Rocks, Elephant Rock and the surrounding beaches have dramatic rock landscapes that make for incredible sunset beach photographs. The slippery nature of the rocks and wild waves at these beaches make it less suitable for young children.
