Who at your Wedding will be most likely crying? Why is this person special to you?
All parents and definitely us. If Jay’s brothers don’t cry, like jay did at Josh’s wedding, we will be disappointed!
Your favourite moment of the day was and what you were thinking at that time?
Our vows. We were both overwhelmed with emotion for each other. Our forever started long ago, but the promise of always meant the world.
“Robert. I remember the first second that we met. You walked past my kitchen bench in Townsville, looked up and gave me a smile. And my life lit up. There has never been any doubt, in the 9 years since, that you were my person. Although there might have been a difficult moment that time you told me I couldn’t have ice-cream for breakfast.
The philosopher, Nietche, argued that love is the highest form of friendship. To cultivate friendship in love means finding someone who makes you smile, who makes you laugh, and who makes you feel complete; we are two books that comprise a single volume, one soul divided between two bodies… You are the Type B to my Type A, the beta to my alpha, you are the Luna to my Ella. Together we bring out the best in each other which is what I love you for the most. You always see the best in people, while I try to protect you from the worst. I’ve never met nor could I ever meet someone as perfect or who I could love more than you. As part of our vows I’d like to promise you everything. Because, with you, I have everything. Forever isn’t long enough. I love you”
“Jaylyn, I love you so much and I knew from the first day I met you that we were perfect for each other. I’ll never forget my anxious 4 hour drive after sneaking out of uni early on a Friday afternoon so I could meet this gorgeous and intelligent medical student that I had no clue was about to change my life. We have built this beautiful life together with our friends, family and of course, our puppies. I can’t wait to see what is in store for us next, but honestly, as long as you’re here with me, I couldn’t care less. You’re my best friend and I promise that will never change.
Whether we’re sitting at home watching movies or off on another one of our adventures around the world, I promise to hold your hand and call you pretty each day, through the magical and stressful times alike. And of course, I promise that the most selfish thing I do is forget to offer you a drink or get you cutlery when I do. I love how, even after all this time, your type A personality somehow hasn’t murdered me for never being on time, but I think it came close when I took 7 years, 10 months and 22 days to propose. Even though I’ve been picturing this moment since I met you almost 10 years ago, I never could have imagined how perfect it would be to see you coming down that aisle. I love you”
