Fiji. The land of fiery red sunsets, tropical islands and friendly smiles! What a beautiful country for a destination wedding – and it’s only a few hours from Brisbane! This Fiji destination wedding was magical!
Iresha and Vas’s wedding was everything a destination wedding should be. Located on Beqa island off the coast of Fiji, the incredible resort Lalati hosted this intimate, beautiful event for all of Iresha and Vas’s closest friends and family. Because we arrived a day early to Lalati resort to scout out the area, we were also able to choose the location, angle and positioning of the ceremony (every photographer’s dream!).
The day went flawlessly! We not only were blessed with a gorgeous sunny day (most of our trip was overcast!), but there was some lovely surprises along the way. After a teary ceremony right by the seaside, we jumped on a boat to a private island nearby to catch sunset. Wading through the crystal blue water to a deserted white beach, you couldn’t get a more tropical spot! We had one of the fiery red sunsets that Fiji is so well-known for – the colours are almost unbelievable!
Then we were greeted back on Lalatie by rows of sparklers on the jetty, before the Best Man surprised everyone with a display of Fireworks during the reception! The full moon shining down on the palm trees and waters was just the finishing touch.
The beauty of destination weddings is that it becomes a multiple-day special event for the friends and family. Iresha and Vas enjoyed several nights at Lalati resort playing Taboo, dancing in the rain and partying with their friends and family. They made us feel so included and welcomed us with open arms. Thank you for allowing us to be part of such a special time for you all and letting us capture such precious memories!
