Brooke & Aidan’s Hinterland Wedding
Brooke and Aidan’s The Acre Boomerang Farm Gold Coast Wedding was such a pleasure to attend! Such a kind couple with an obviously strong connection, it warmed our hearts to be part of their special day. We photographed Aidan’s brother’s Wedding a few years earlier, so it was lovely to see many familiar faces gathered to witness their Wedding.
The Acre Boomerang Farm in the Gold Coast Hinterland is a venue also familiar to us. Being one of the many venues on the Gold Coast that we have photographed at multiple times. Our inside knowledge of the venue turned out to be super helpful when it came to picking out the best photography locations. The ceremony started a little behind due to a fashionably late entrance by Brooke and Aidan’s fur-babies 🙂
A definite highlight of The Acre Boomerang Farm is the barn. Beautifully decorated and under the dim lights creates a dreamy atmosphere where wedding parties can relax and enjoy the night away. And for Brooke and Aidan’s guests, a place for laughter! We hear a lot of speeches made at receptions, but some of those shared by Brooke and Aidan’s bridal party still make us giggle 🙂
Brooke and Aidan’s Experience
In our minds our day couldn’t have been more perfect. We had an amazing, intimate day with our closest friends and family. We were able to enjoy the day, stress free, with the perfect weather and the greatest of company.
One of the highlights of our day, was having the wedding delayed not due to a late bride or anything going wrong with our vendors, but simply because our dogs wanted to be fashionably late. It was nice to have some normality on our day, because our dogs usually have a way of making us late every other day of the week. We loved getting to spend quality time with our family and friends.
The most stressful part of the planning definitely came down to the day before the wedding. Our accommodation we’d booked for the day before, and night of the big day cancelled on us the day we were meant to arrive. Thanks to the help of friends and family, we were able to reorganise all the vendors with the new details, plans for the day and new accommodation all on the day before the wedding.
Working with all our vendors were amazing. I would highly recommend all of them. We were so happy with all our vendors. Our photography turned out amazing, our MC and entertainment left a lasting impression, the food was great and our venue made everything a breeze. Sunlit studios were great. Both myself and Aidan are usually quite awkward with having our photo taken, but Cameron and Elizabeth were great; they told us exactly how to stand and pose to have the photo’s turn out amazing
Tips From The Bride
Don’t stress on the day. Everything you could have planned will be done by now. If things go wrong, try not to let it bring you down. Enjoy the day for what it is and don’t lose sight about what the day is really about
Have some entertainment organised for when you are getting photos taken. We organsied some garden party games and the guest had fun, and got to know each other more over some friendly competition.
Great vendors are worth investing in. In a lot of cases you get what you pay for, and if something is important to you, its worth budgeting for.
