Serena and Will really wanted to have their engagement session at The Boulevard Emerald Lakes to have a European vibe to their photos. This quaint little spot right here on the Gold Coast is a gem with it’s European inspired architecture – think paved lanes, arches and grand stair cases all surrounded by the stunning lakes! It has quickly become our new favourite location and provides a little something different for our couples 😊 Serena and Will were absolute naturals during their shoot and we just loved how their shots came out… we even have them on display in the studio already 😁

How did the two of you first meet?
Worked together at Sizzler 7 years ago.
What is your favourite memory of your courtship?
Our first trip away together up to Brisbane as young 18 year olds, going on the Brisbane ferris wheel.
When did you decide that you would be together forever? Did any particular moment solidify this?
I think we both knew from very early on that neither of us was going anywhere and from the beginning our relationship blossomed and we’ve been celebrating milestones together since the beginning. From early on I knew that I wanted to share everything with him. Then it became important life events that I just wanted him to know about and from then on, our lives progressed and I knew that I wanted to share everything including my life with him.
What would you say your love languages are?
Physical Touch, Quality Time, Participating in each others hobbies.
How did your proposal play out?
The original plan was to propose in central park the week prior however the weather in NYC did not have the same idea. This led to changing the plan to proposing a week later in Dumbo, Brooklyn on the other side of the Manhattan Bridge. We cycled over the bridge, had an ice-cream date, went on the merry-go-round and looked at some market-like shops. Will proposed next to the pier overlooking NYC.
What are your favourite activities you like to do together?
Building Pillow Forts – Serena, exploring, going for long drives.
What is unique about your partner’s personality that makes you love them?
His huge heart – always thinking of ways to share his love.
Considering your future together, what are you looking forward to the most?
Purchasing our future Golden Retriever fur baby.
