From the moment we met Lauren and Johno, we knew we were in for something extraordinary as their Fiji Destination Wedding Photographers and Filmmakers. Their infectious energy and warm smiles instantly made us feel like part of their family.
When we arrived in Fiji two days before the wedding, the weather was far from what we expected. The skies were overcast, the ground muddy and a gentle drizzle blanketed the island, making it feel more like a quiet getaway than the tropical paradise we had imagined. That evening, as Cameron and I unwound during happy hour at the bar, Johno spotted us and, with a generous grin, started sending over cocktails. It was a perfect start to the weekend as we were able to bond further with guests and Bridal Party too. Having these extra experiences with our destination couples always makes the connection we share so much stronger.
The following day, the drizzle continued, but we stayed busy with rehearsals, location scouting, and a bit of souvenir hunting. While out shopping, Lauren spotted us and immediately came to our rescue, offering local currency. It was another beautiful reminder of just who they are: warm, generous, and genuinely kind. We could already feel that we were about to witness something incredibly special.
Then, on their wedding day, the clouds parted just in time. Despite a high wind warning, Lauren and Johno were determined to keep their reception outdoors – and the result was nothing short of magical. Following a killer sunset on the beach, the reception neighboured the beach, surrounded by towering palm trees and glowing moonlight, it was everything you could dream of in a tropical destination wedding.
The day was filled with so many personal touches – heartfelt letter readings, thoughtful gift exchanges, emotional vows, epic entrances, fireworks, and a dancefloor that wouldn’t stop. As photographers and filmmakers, we were on our toes, capturing every moment, and we couldn’t have been more thrilled to be part of it.
Lauren and Johno, not only did you orchestrate an unforgettable celebration, but you made us feel like old friends. We’re honored to have been there to witness the beginning of your incredible journey together, and we know this is just the start of an epic story to come.
