“10 years ago today our paths intertwined and you have been by my side ever since. Although I was leaving in a matter of months, I fell completely for you, and I knew from a very early point that what we had was different, it was special, and something that I needed to cherish and hold onto.
You are the most selfless, caring person, and the way you care for and help others is incredible and inspiring. The support you have shown me throughout the years in every Endeavour or path I have chosen, whether we are in the same city or on the other side of the world, is incredible and I cannot thank you enough, even if it hasn’t led us to a million dollars… I love how you challenge me to be a better person, to stand up for myself, and back myself and for that I cannot thank you enough.
You have helped me through some of the biggest challenges in my life, and been there for my best, but the greatest moment, the moment I am most proud of, is asking you to be my wife. So from now until eternity I make these promises to you.
– I promise to be the shoulder you lean and cry on, to listen when you need to be heard, to laugh with you, explore with you and create memories with you that will last a lifetime.

“I love that even when your hungry, you’re still the most positive and optimistic person I know, a skill I have not yet mastered.
I love that, even after 10 years, you’re still the funniest person I know.
I love that regardless of wether we are in a $1500 a night tree house in Africa, or going 3 days without showering while free camping in WA, we can still have the best time!
So on this day, I promise to you that through the good times and the bad times, I’ll always remind you of how loved you are.
I promise to be your cheerleader when you need encouraging, your shoulder when you need to cry, to be a leader for you when you need strength, to celebrate with you through the highs, and be waiting for you with a hug during the lows.
I promise to be more patient and refrain from using the phrase “your dawdling”, and instead learn to appreciate the journey rather than the final destination.
I promise that when the good looks are overcome by wrinkles from smiling, that you can always count on me to laugh at your jokes.
But most all, I promise on this journey to continuously grow and work on myself and our marriage as a priority because I know that we are truly meant to be – forever and always.“
