Eloise and Jevon’s Brisbane Riverside Wedding
We almost can’t believe it has already been 1 year since we captured Eloise and Jevon’s Stamford Plaza Brisbane Wedding in February 2020!! Therefore, we thought we would revisit their beautiful wedding memories one year on and wish them a Happy Anniversary!
I’m sure we are all aware just how crazy 2020 was! How lucky and relieving for Eloise and Jevon that timing was on their side. Their wedding was one of the last weddings we were able to photograph before restrictions came in around Australia!
Getting Ready
We started the day meeting Jev and his groomsmen at Spice Apartments, South Brisbane to capture a few moments of his preparations before the ceremony. Meanwhile, Eloise was at Stamford Plaza with her bridemaids putting the finish touches on their hair, makeup and outfits. First, we spent some time photographing all those special moments as well as those stunning details chosen by the bride. Then onto the bridal portraits of the beautiful Eloise of course! Afterwards we made sure to capture Eloise’s Dad seeing her in her wedding gown for some fun “First look photos”.
The Ceremony
Afterwards, it was downstairs at the Stamford Plaza for their intimate indoor ceremony officiated by Pastor Graham Sercombe. Overlooking the hotel gardens and the scenic Brisbane River, it was complete with a white carpet aisle and a wedding arbour adorned with white drapery and especially beautiful floral bouquets of cream and purple roses and chrysanthemums. It was without a doubt, a gorgeous ceremony. There were tears, laughter and a whole lot of love!
Following the formalities, it was time for some location bridal party photographs in the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens. And then couple photos at the Kangaroo Point Cliffs overlooking the city and a spectacular sunset!
Last but not least, we headed to the beautiful “River Room” at the Stamford Plaza where Eloise and Jev were greeted by their guests for an evening of dinner and celebrations.
Such a perfect day and we were thrilled to be apart of it. Happy Anniversary Eloise and Jev! – from all of us at Sunlit Studios.
All About The Planning
What led you to choose your ceremony location? Are there any particular characteristics that make it unique to you?
With a combination of interstate and international guests, we wanted to make it accessible for guests but comfortable yet sophisticated for us who are saying “I Do”!
What are your favourite wedding details (a special venue, a unique dress, a fun cake etc.)?
The Cake has two flavours Strawberries & Cream and Butterscotch ripple – safe to say it’s going to be a scrumptious time!
What has been the most stressful part about planning your wedding?Manging RSVP’s (Dietrary requests are crazy in the 21st century!), Managing all your vendors, Keeping costs low!
Considering your future together, what are you looking forward to the most?
Despite the many years we have been together, it never feels like enough. Spending each moment with one another to support, uphold and commit to for as long as we both shall live.
What role do your family and friends play in your life as a couple?
An essential part, they often say it take an entire village to raise a child, but we believe it takes an entire community to support and grow a couple we have been so thankful to everyone for all their love and support throughout the ever-growing process.
Top 3 Tips for other brides?
1. Get your planning started early!
2. Treat yourself throughout the planning process (Spa day, massage etc!)
3. Have a good support team of family and friends who are willing to help out
