Aleisha and Harrison’s Gold Coast Engagement Shoot
Aleisha and Harrison chose us to be their Southport Beach Engagement Photographer and exerience a Sunlit Studios trial shoot.
We had perfect afternoon weather with those warm sunset colours and pastel skies to achieve a selection of stunning images for them to choose from! Below you will see our favourites including the gorgeous canvas collection we helped Aleisha and Harrison design for their home. But first read all about their sweet relationship including a very romantic proposal!! …
How did the two of you first meet?
Through friends at a charity function
When did you first tell each other that you loved them? Was it at the same time?
After a month of dating at the same time
When did you decide that you would be together forever? Did any particular moment/s solidify this?
Aleisha wrote Harrison a love song, and when she played it for him, he knew she was the one.
What is your favourite memory of your courtship?
On our second date, we were having dinner and two kids ran past our table playing and Aleisha got distracted by them. Harrison asked her if she liked kids and she said she’s always known the one thing she wanted out of life was to be a mum one day. Harrison said he’s always felt the exact same way. We were only 19 at the time. We both knew this was something pretty special then.
What was the date of your proposal?
December 26, 2020
How did your proposal play out?
Harrison told me we were seeing his grandparents for a Christmas breakfast on Boxing Day at a local gardens (we have had multiple dates there) . We got there and there wasn’t a single car or person in sight. He told me we must have been early but we should take a walk around while we wait. While we did so, we started reminiscing on the past dates we’ve had there and he said, “They were all very special dates, but this is the most special one of all.” Then he got down on one knee. I didn’t believe it was actually happening and I threw my water bottle to the ground, looking like I was throwing a tantrum.
What is your favourite couple activity?
Binge watching TV shows
What is unique about your partner’s personality that makes you love them?
Harrison: (about Aleisha) How much she cares about everyone. Aleisha: (about Harrison) He’s genuinely the most caring and giving person I know.
Considering your future together, what are you looking forward to the most?
Harrison: Waking up next to her every morning and smiling. Aleisha: Just getting to do life with my best friend.
We are looking forward to their wedding next year at Boulevard Gardens in Brisbane, but for now we hope they enjoy these memories of their time as an engaged couple!
