This Brisbane Marquee Wedding was full of thoughtful touches. We knew when we arrived and saw Morgan’s pink Wedding dress that we’d be in photography heaven! For brides looking to set up a Marquee Wedding on a property, take some notes from these guys – it was a perfectly executed day!
Morgan shares her thoughts below about her spectacular Wedding day:
“Our wedding was held on the 17th of March 2018. We were delighted to have Sunlit Studios photograph our wedding after seeing the beautiful photos they took for my brother’s wedding in 2014. We thoroughly enjoyed the Sunlit experience.
We chose to hold our wedding in March as it is usually not too warm, both of us prefer cooler weather, though the day proved us wrong with our weather prediction and was sunny and hot. In saying this for the previous weeks leading up to our wedding there was non stop rain so we were very lucky. This luck may have been because it was St Patricks Day.
My favourite parts of the day were getting ready with my bridesmaids, walking down the aisle to see my beautiful husband, eating pizza for our wedding meal, the father daughter dance and watching everyone having fun. My hair and makeup was done by my amazing friend Kelley (Royalty Makeup and Beauty) and my bridesmaids were by Ashleigh and Jade (Rapunzel Rapunzel). These beautiful women made the preparation so much fun and everthing I dreamed of. Walking down the aisle hand in hand with my Dad was definitely a highlight and very emotional. It was such a wonderful moment seeing James at the altar waiting for me and knowing we were about to make the ultimate commitment to eachother. Our ceremony was kept very simple and special thanks to our celebrant Moira Christensen, we were able to include James’ pop in a candle lighting ceremony.
Pizza is a favourite meal of James and myself so we were very pleased when we found a gourmet pizza caterer (Farmer Browns Pizzas). Everyone commented on how it was such a great idea and so delicious. Later on in the night it was time for the father daughter dance, this was a very special moment for my dad and I. We danced to ‘I loved her first’ by Heartland with tears streaming down our face, some were happy tears and some were sad. James and I really enjoyed watching everyone have fun with the lawn games and photo booth (by That Photobooth Rocks). We loved that it was such a relaxed, casual wedding. We chose to have a Marquee wedding (from R n R hire Caboolture) at a family members property for this reason and it turned out perfectly with the help of family and friends.
One of my favouite wedding details was my dress of course, as it was PINK (from Luv Bridal Maroochydore). Other favourite details included the lawn games, pizza, photobooth, memory candle and cake, which was by a special friend of mine. Another very important detail was our wishing well. This was because a portion of our wishing well was being donated to the Asbestos Disease Support Society (ADSS), as Mesothelioma has affected both of our families so we hold it close to our hearts. We were able to donate $1000 to the ADSS.”
