Maleny Weddings at Tiffanys Photos – Krystyna and Jesse

Krystyna and Jesses’s Maleny Weddings at Tiffanys Photos show how happy a couple can be on their Wedding day. High School sweet hearts, these guys’ cheerful and relaxed nature even put us to ease on what some couples might consider a stressful day. With beautiful weather, a stunning venue, and hey, with a great photography and videography team, it was always going to be a great day 🙂

See their incredible highlights video HERE!

From the Bride:

Why did you choose to hold your celebration now?

We met in high school and after 12 years together we had the house, we had the dog and the MC had had his speech ready to go for 10 years, it was time for the next step in our journey together.

What were your favourite moments of the day?

The whole day was incredible, but it is such a blur, I would say that my favourite moment was listening to my new husbands speech and having him call me ‘wife’ for the first time. The ceremony and vows were amazing but you are so nervous (even though I didn’t think I would be) and it goes so quickly you can’t really take it all in at the time.

What was the most stressful part about planning your wedding?

The most stressful part of the wedding was managing expectations, I am an Event Organiser for work, so there was a lot of pressure to make sure my own event went flawlessly. But overall, I didn’t have too many stressful moments.

What were your favourite wedding details?

We had a lot of little personal touches on our day, turns out I’m quite a sentimental person, – a brooch on my bouquet from my nan who is no longer with us, a few Celtic traditions honouring both my Scottish family history and my husband’s Irish family history – bagpipes, hand-fasting, family members with little touches of the family tartan. We had a few homemade touches as well which were special – our cake was also made by a friend, the favours were made by my mother, the hand-fasting cord was made by my father and the photo-booth was made by my father and grandfather. And of course the venue is absolutely beautiful, I wanted a non-denominational chapel, rather than a church or an outdoor wedding, when I saw this one I fell in love. We sadly lost Jesse’s mother a few months after we selected the venue, the fact that she had been there on the day we visited during the summer showcase made her feel a little bit closer on the day.

Tell us about our experience working with Sunlit Studios

We won a complimentary engagement shoot through the Hinterland Showcase expo in January 2017 – we met Cameron at Weddings at Tiffany’s, the venue we ended up choosing! What initially drew us to Sunlit was their display albums, you could really envisage how your own photos might look at the same venue – and my dad, an avid photographer himself, really appreciated the time Cameron took to discuss with us their style, process and handy tips for the Big Day.

On the day itself, we had 2 photographers and 1 videographer, they were fantastic, helping to make you feel comfortable with the formal photos and so discrete during the reception we didn’t even notice they were there, until we get back the photos weeks later – the day goes so quickly you forget a lot of details of what happened, and there it is, all beautifully captured and presented in your album, bringing it all back to memory.

Any tips for other brides?

I highly recommend the videography as well, a lot of people think it’s an added expense that’s out of the budget but I would say it is so worth it! They really capture the little moments that you’ve easily already forgotten about come the end of the night. My other tip would be don’t sweat the small stuff – there’s a lot of pressure to make your day go perfectly but that will rarely happen – laugh if you do or say something silly, don’t try to please everyone and do the things that you think will make your day special to you – it’s those little things that people will remember and reminisce with you about the day.
