Phoebe and John’s Gold Coast Hinterland Wedding
How lucky were we to be asked to capture Phoebe and John’s Bower Estate Wedding Photography!! This stunning venue is nestled in the Sprinkbrook National Park area in the Gold Coast Hinterland. And can be described simply as naturally BREATHTAKING! If you’re after an all-inclusive venue, then this definitely needs to be on your list to visit.
Phoebe and John picked the ‘Hillview’ location for their ceremony with the dramatic mountains of Lamington and Springbrook National Parks as the backdrop. We had plenty of incredibly beautiful spots for photos on the sprawling lush property with spectacular sunsets over the mountains! The reception was held in the transparent marquee with glittering fairy lights under the stars. It is just magical at The Bower Estate!
Phoebe and John shared a bit about how their wedding plans played out….
We wish them all the best for a happy life together!
What led you to choose your ceremony location? Are there any particular characteristics that make it unique to you?
Funnily enough we found our venue through an instagram ad of all places! We had a look at what the venue offered online and pictures of the scenery and decided we’d go check it out. It was an absolutely stunning rainforest oasis. They decided that they should look at some other venues to compare but nothing did! They only ever saw The Bower Estate and after Phoebe kept thinking about how it could look on their wedding day on a daily basis for weeks after, they decided it was the one!
What are your favourite wedding details (a special venue, a unique dress, a fun cake etc.)?
We love our DIY projects so some of the decorations included in our wedding day involved us using power tools, a couple of cans of spray paint and a few failed first attempts. It just makes it all that more special to us to know that we created most items ourselves and had a fun time doing it.
What has been the most stressful part about planning your wedding?
Unfortunately our first florist had some personal issues going on in her life where she made the decision to close her business so we were left to find a new florist three months out from our wedding day. It was challenging as a lot of florists had already been booked given so many couples had to postpone from the previous year because of COVID. We were very lucky to find Jacqui and has been wonderful to deal with!
Considering your future together, what are you looking forward to the most?
A lot more travel adventures…hopefully more overseas once the borders open up again. We’ve got a bucket list of places we’d like to visit.
What role do your family and friends play in your life as a couple?
We are very lucky that our families get along so well with each other and our parents have been so incredibly supportive of everything that we’ve done and have contributed so much to our wedding. Our friends are also very important to us. They are such genuine, lovely people and are so glad that the majority will be able to make it and will be thinking of those on the day who can’t.
